PARENTS AND TEACHERS ASSOCIATION (PTA)
PTA Fundraising
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has the primary role of organising activities and events to raise funds for the school. The Associations membership actually includes every parent and teacher in the school and although most of the organisation is driven by the PTA committee, input and assistance from all our members is very welcome.
We are always looking for new fundraising ideas and opportunities, but we usually raise money through fun events and initiatives:
- Summer Fayre
- Christmas Fayre
- Bake Sales
- Themed disco's
- Raffles
- Easter Egg Hunt
- and lots more..
Over the years the PTA have contributed towards/purchased:
- Playground equipment
- New iPads
- Subsidised school trips in every year group
- New reading books for all classes
- New resources for every year group in school
- Vivo's reward system shop items
Ways to help the school raise extra money to do extra special things with our children.
Rags to Riches Have you discovered the clothes re-cycling bin in the teacher’s car park? For every bag of old or unwanted clothing the Parent and Teacher Association gets money to spend on school projects.
Shop at Amazon or eBay? Every time you shop on-line you could be donating money to the PTA and help the school buy valuable resources their budgets can’t stretch too. Join the Giving Machine www.thegivingmachine.co.uk. It just takes a minute to register. Then every purchase you make a small % goes straight to the PTA – even more if you gift aid it.
It’s not all about your money! Time is precious but if you can help for just a couple of hours a year at an event, spare a couple of evenings preparing for an event, offer a raffle donation or think of anything else – we’d love to hear from you. We’re all volunteers wanting the best for our amazing children.
